 When I am called to duty God
wherever flames may rage,
Give me strength to save a life
whatever be its age.

| Mike's passion was firefighting. He followed in the footsteps of his dad, George. Mike joined Five Points Fire Company as a junior member at the age of 16. |

Mike joined Minquas Fire Company on February 2, 1978.
- In 1982 he served on the Board of Directors
- In 1985 he became a Fire Lieutenant
- In 1986 he became a Fire Captain
- From 1987-88 he served as 2nd Assistant Chief
- In 1989 he became 1st Assistant Chief
- From 1990-1996 he served as Deputy Chief

Mike joined Charlestown Fire Company in September 2000.
In 2001 Mike became a Fire Lieutenant. |
| Mike was laid to rest right across the street from Station 5. Now he goes with his brother firefighters on every alarm to watch over them and keep them safe. |
